Florida Man’s Split-Second Decision Saves Two Toddlers Caught in Traffic | Shalom World News
A routine drive turned into a life-saving moment when a Florida man jumped out of his car to rescue two toddlers who had wandered into the middle of a busy road in Brevard County, narrowly escaping tragedy. The incident unfolded when the two young children, who had slipped unnoticed out of a backyard, began walking into traffic as vehicles approached from both directions. Drivers slowed in confusion, but the danger remained immediate and severe. John Brittingham, a father of five and a grandfather, was driving nearby when he spotted the toddlers standing alone in the roadway. Without hesitation, he stopped his vehicle, jumped out, and ran toward the children, guiding them safely out of harm’s way just moments before a potential collision. “I was terrified,” Brittingham later said. “If anything would’ve happened to them, my whole life would have been ruined.” Brittingham downplayed his actions, saying instinct took over as he thought of his own children and grandchildren. What could have become a devastating accident instead became a powerful reminder of how one person’s courage and decisiveness can save lives — especially when every second counts. Believe one thing: if you are inspired to do a good act, however simple it is, God is the one inspiring you. And its is None but He who is behind everyone, who comes out of the blue to hold your hand when you face a danger!
