The Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (SSPX) has announced that it will continue its annual pilgrimage to Lourdes. Following the episcopal consecrations on July 1 in Ecône, Bishop Jean-Marc Micas of Tarbes and Lourdes withdrew permission for the SSPX to celebrate public Masses, administer sacraments, or organize public prayers at Lourdes. In an August 22 statement, Fr. Gonzague Peignot, superior of the FSSPX in France, announced that the Fraternity intends to continue coming to Lourdes every year, “Our Lady does not deserve to be abandoned despite the obstacles,” he said. The FSSPX expressed 'sorrow and incomprehension', questioning the bishop's decision and pointing to the interreligious Christian-Muslim pilgrimage that was welcomed at the sanctuary in October 2025. Accursed he may be, but he also remains the Pope. A Pope has a specific role. It is not social policy or environmental propaganda. It is not "bringing the church into the modern age" not listening. It is very specifically to (Pastor Aeturnus Chapter 4, #6) "by [the Holy Spirit's] assistance, [the Pope] might religiously guard and faithfully expound the revelation or deposit of faith transmitted by the apostles." Everything else which comes from the Pope is to be treated as outside of their respective remits and protected neither by infalability nor the authority of the office.
On 23 August, at Holy Family Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, a woman knelt at the Communion rail during Communion. Just as the priest was about to give her Communion, she stood and handed him a flower. Despite Communion being distributed by intinction, she grabbed the Host and then took the chalice used for intinction, drank from it, and threw it onto the floor before leaving the church with an escort. The priest immediately purified the area where the Precious Blood had been spilled.
A disturbing incident occurred during Sunday Mass at Holy Family Church in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, where a woman disrupted Communion by grabbing and dropping the vessel used for intinction, spilling some of the Precious Blood.
Since they have a video of the Mass, hand it over to the police and send copies to the news media. If it were just the humans being disrespected, they could choose to "grin and bear it" but since God was profaned, the woman needs to be tracked down and punished.

Builders: The Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) is building a new church in Roswell, near Atlanta, Georgia. Construction began in late 2024, with a Neoclassical design inspired by Roman basilicas and incorporating Baroque elements. The church will house restored Carrara marble altars dating from 1925. The existing church will be converted into expanded parish and classroom space.

More than 2,300 Catholics took part in Argentina’s 17th Pilgrimage of Our Lady of Christendom from August 15–17.
