Leo XIV's Developments: People’s Realities Define Doctrine - US Cardinal

The Church has “frequently wounded the LGBT community through judgmentalism and exclusion,” Washington 🌈 Cardinal Robert McElroy claimed in a June 20 homily at the homosexual conference Outreach, held at the Jesuits’ Georgetown University.
He pointed to "two developments during the pontificate of Leo XIV".
The first was a remark Leo XIV made during his trip to Africa in April, when he said that “the unity or division in the church should not revolve around sexual matters.”
Cardinal McElroy commented: “Too often both in magisterial statements and on the popular level, sexual sins have been condemned with an ardor that effectively places them in the eyes of many believers as the core moral obligation of Christians.”
Leo XIV instead pointed “to the comparative importance of economic justice, war and peace, immigration and racism as key elements of the Christian moral life.”
The second development cited by McElroy was the publication of the report of synod's Study Group 9 in May and …Mususu

Seems like many prelates just can't do enough for the homo movement. I wonder why?

"[T]he unity or division in the church should not revolve around sexual matters.”
.
I agree with this completely, however it is the fruitcake community who insist upon showcasing their respective highly disordered natures. They are the source and cause of the division.

Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint Matthew 7,6.12-14.
Jesus said to his disciples: "Do not give what is holy to dogs, or throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.
Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. This is the law and the prophets."
"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.
How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few."

Monsignor Brunero Gherardini: What Adherence is Due to the Second Vatican Council?

Following the debate reopened by the recent consecrations of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and by the question of the adherence due to the Second Vatican Council, it seems opportune to recover this text by Monsignor Brunero Gherardini, originally published in 2011 by Disputationes Theologicae.
The great celebration of the fiftieth anniversary has begun. The beating of drums is not yet heard, but it can already be perceived in the atmosphere. The fiftieth anniversary of Vatican II will unleash all that is most superlative that can be imagined in terms of praise. Of the sobriety that had been requested, as an attitude and as an occasion for reflection and analysis for a more critical and profound evaluation of the conciliar event, not a trace remains. Already, without restraint, the same things that have been said and repeated for fifty years are being reiterated: Vatican II is the culminating point of Tradition and its very synthesis. International congresses on the greatest …

The point is to make the TLM as aesthetically unappealing as possible so that fewer people will be attracted by it. SSPX should ask the Muslims to act as a straw purchaser for one of the many closed Catholic churches. I bet they could get a good deal.

Video message of the Holy Father on the occasion …
Dear friends,
I am happy to greet all of you as you gather in various locations for the Steubenville Summer Youth Conferences during the year that marks the fiftieth anniversary of these encounters. As you might know, this year we are also celebrating the eight-hundredth anniversary of the death of Saint Francis. Since this event is organized by the Franciscan University of Steubenville, I thought it would be fitting to reflect upon the message Saint Francis might have for young people today. I think that he could speak to us about many things, but especially authentic peace and perfect joy, for these themes were an important part of his life.
If you had met Saint Francis on the streets of Assisi in the thirteenth century, he might have looked at you with a serene and loving smile, and said: “Pace e bene,” that is “Peace and all good.” This was the way that Saint Francis often greeted people, and it expresses one of the desires in …Mususu

Writer Declares He Has Only Worked for Fair Trial and Fair Play—Race Question Is No Issue in Phagan Case—Rosser Not Writer.
By AN OLD POLICE REPORTER.
There were few developments in the Phagan case last week that to my mind were worth considering seriously or that threw new light upon the mystery.
Perhaps it was because of this that a good many people wrote letters to "The Old Police Reporter"—some commending my articles, others condemning them; but in every case indicating clearly that the interest has not lessened.
I observe that some of the State newspapers are publishing foolish little paragraphs, bearing the Atlanta date line, to the effect that the Hearst newspapers have been "bought to defend Frank." This is too foolish to notice.
Still other newspapers are taking advantage of the silly season to point out various phases of the case that to my mind are neither …

Reading turkish coffee grounds and finding St Charbel

St Charbel heals Elias with cancer in Damour, …
Many years ago I worked with an engineer who grew up in Syria, and upstairs from his childhood home lived an old Jewish couple who would "read" Turkish coffee grounds for the neighbors. I had a chance to try some Turkish coffee and learn the significance of some of the symbols that appear on the sides and bottom of the little cup. Then, fast forward several years, I was a volunteer at a Cathedral where one of St Charbel's great nieces was also a volunteer. And, she showed me this image of St Charbel in the coffee grounds. She loved it so much, that I developed a great affection for it myself. St Charbel has been so good to so many people. @In Principio posted a picture of the miraculous hand print St Charbel left on a man's arm, and @Instaurare Omnia in Christo posted a link to a fantastic youtube about that miracle

Saint John's Eve - June 23
Saint John's Eve, starting at sunset on 23 June, is the eve of celebration before the Feast Day of Saint John the Baptist. The Gospel of Luke (Luke 1:26–37, 56-57) states that John was born six months before Jesus; therefore, the feast of John the Baptist was fixed on 24 June, six months before Christmas according to the old Roman calculation (ante diem VIII Kalendas Iulias). This feast day is one of the very few saints' days which commemorates the anniversary of the birth, rather than the death, of the saint being honored.

The Feast of Saint John closely coincides with the June solstice, also referred to as Midsummer in the Northern Hemisphere. The Christian holy day is fixed at 24 June; but in most countries festivities are mostly held the night before, on Saint John's Eve. This holiday is celebrated in many places.

St. Louis IX, King.
If God sends you suffering,
receive it with humility,
think that you have deserved it,
and that He sends it for your salvation.
If everything succeeds for you,
do not then give yourself over
to pride
or to other misdeeds;
for you would be abusing God’s
benefits in order to offend Him.
— St. Louis IX, King
Saint Louis IX ruled France from 1226-1270 and is one of the most revered Catholic monarchs — a model of Christian kingship, justice, and piety. He went on two Crusades, promoted justice and charity in his realm, and was canonized in 1297.
Saint Louis IX is shown crowned and robed in blue with fleur-de-lis (the symbol of French royalty) holding the Crown of Thorns on a red cushion, with rays of light emanating from it. St. Louis IX acquired the relic of the Crown of Thorns from Constantinople and built the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris to house it.

Leo XIV Appoints Synodal Bishop: "Open to Novelty and Change"

On June 20, Leo XIV has appointed Rev Elímar Gerardo Carvajal Durán, 50, as Bishop of Puntarenas, Costa Rica.
Born in Grecia in 1976 and ordained a priest in 2003, Monsignor Carvajal Durán has served in various pastoral roles within the Diocese of Alajuela and most recently as Diocesan Vicar for Pastoral Ministry.
He is a strongly synodal, CELAM-formed, Francis-era pastoral organizer. His public record shows extensive commitment to "discernment", "accompaniment", and "synodality".
Strong Synodal Profile
By September 2022, Rev. Carvajal had assumed a leading role in coordinating the Diocese of Alajuela's Diocesan Synodal Process.
In a September 28, 2022 talk on the Youtube channel of the Diocese of Alajuela, Monsignor Carvajal uses all of the Francis’ buzzwords such as "the synodal Church", "the reality is always before the idea", “listening to the cries of people”, etc.
His Language Speaks Volumes
In a September 5, 2023 video, Monsignor Carvajal said that discernment and synodality …Mususu

He needs to affirm the Creeds, Councils and Cathechisms in the original. He does not do this. This is a canonical issue. With Vatican Council II rational we can affirm the Council and Tradition. But the bishop, with Vatican Council II irrational cannot affirm both. A bishop who cannot affirm de fide teachings in Tradition which are not contradicted by Vatican Council II, cannot hold his office.
It is obligatory, morally and canonically for the bishop to affirm Vatican Council I
I only rationally ( LG 16 inviible.)

Father Karl A Claver

Novelty and change have nothing to do with GROWTH. One grows in virtue, while novelty and change can refer to compromising the Catholic faith.
