Cardinal Matteo Zuppi of Bologna wrote an editorial for the Italian bishops’ newspaper Avvenire on August 15, the Feast of the Assumption without stating the bodily dimension of the Marian feast and the eternal destiny of man. The cardinal reflects on Mary, war, peace, fraternity, and the divisions of our age, but his interpretation of the feast repeatedly turns the reader’s attention back toward earthly concerns. Some key passages: - “The reunion with the Son, in the bosom of the Father—this is the meaning of the Assumption.” - “Yes, Mary is assumed into heaven. But she still stands beneath the Cross.” - “The mystery of Mary, assumed into heaven by her Son, invites us to take up again the weaving of fraternity among peoples as the heart of the Church’s mission today.” - “A Mother in heaven who teaches us to be brothers and sisters all together on Earth.” The editorial then moves through war, democracy, the global economy, the condition of women, poverty, digital culture, human relationships …بیہ
Today, Pope Leo XIV appointed Archbishop Angelo Accattino as Nuncio to Colombia. He had until now served as Nuncio to Tanzania. Monsignor Accattino appears to be a reliable institutional exponent of the Francis pontificate: he praised Francis's magisterium as “firm and secure” and spoke positively of Amoris Laetitia. He embraced the Amazon Synod process and the Synod on Synodality. In 2026, he explicitly spoke of "journeying together as a Synodal Church". His online profile emphasizes ecumenical and interreligious dialogue, social justice, and the characteristic pastoral vocabulary of the Francis era.
Israel Evicted Settlers Besieging Palestinian Homes. Hours Later, They Were Back. The military’s failure to keep extremists away from two Palestinian families trapped in their West Bank homes made clear the chaos gripping the Israeli-occupied territory. nytimes.com/…d/middleeast/west-bank-siege-israeli… By Natan Odenheimer and Fatima AbdulKarim Natan Odenheimer reported from Jerusalem and Fatima AbdulKarim from Bir Zeit, in the West Bank. Aug. 13, 2026 The Israeli military evicted on Thursday about a dozen settlers who had besieged two Palestinian families in their West Bank homes, but several hours later settlers returned. The Palestinian families had been trapped in their homes since Sunday by Israeli settlers, who had erected a tent nearby and, residents said, attacked them, including with rocks. On Thursday morning, Israeli soldiers dismantled structures set up in the area by the settlers, confiscated some equipment, detained one settler and dispersed the rest, according to a military …بیہ
US Bishops are discussing the Mass in the Roman Rite among themselves and internally and [allegedly] want to be solicitous for the pastoral needs of those Catholics, Archbishop Paul Coakley, 71, of Oklahoma City told Raymond Arroyo. Archbishop Coakley is the president of the US bishops. He noticed "one of the dioceses in Texas has just this week relaxed some restrictions in order to make the Traditional Latin Mass more available, at least in that one diocese.” Arroyo asked what Catholics should do when diocesan Masses are increasingly restricted. “Well, it's a dilemma that many people who are attached to the Traditional Latin Mass are facing,” Coakley replied. He has encouraged Catholics to go to the local parish of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter (FSSP). Just outside Oklahoma City is the well-attended St. Michael’s Chapel in Bethany, served by the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX). The archbishop pretended to know little about it: “We still do have a chapel here that …بیہ
The last word, Archbishop? Paul VI all but eliminated the Old Mass, JP II opens it up a crack, Benedict says it was never really done away with and gives it broad circulation, Francis jumps on it, and now we are supposed to be waiting for Leo? Zigzag, zigzag. We have friends in the Detroit area who now attend at sede-vacantist church -- that's what the popes have wrought. And I know, our friends are outside the Church...well, maybe not.
There is a question that has been weighing heavily on my heart, and it is a difficult question to ask: “Are we becoming a Church without God?” Of course, I do not mean that God has abandoned His Church. Jesus Christ promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against her. Nor do I mean that there are not countless faithful Catholics, holy priests, religious, bishops, fathers and mothers who love God deeply and are striving every day to live the Catholic faith. I mean something different. I am asking whether we have gradually constructed a way of thinking about the Church – a way of governing her, speaking about her, worshipping within her, and determining her priorities – that increasingly functions as though the supernatural were no longer the central reality. Because Catholicism is supernatural or it is nothing. Think about the Catholic faith our ancestors knew. They believed in heaven. They believed in hell. They believed in angels and demons. They believed that Satan was real …بیہ
There is no longer a Catholic Church. So, the answer to your question is "Te, we are a Church without God." Now if you look at Montini do you recall Pius XII threw him out of Rome into Milan? Why did Pacelli give Montini an archdiocese? Because he was saintly? No, it was because the Vatican worked (and still does) that way-- insult no one in the Cardinalate publicly, Keep everything in peritu. Had I been Pacelli I would have ended Montini's pathway to the Chair of Peter. Because he did not we got a Vatican 2 to work its will and way towards the end of the Catholic Church;s-- an end in the appearance of the latest Leo. The whole thing is disgusting.
Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of 's-Hertogenbosch wrote on August 13 an open letter to Leo XIV. Main phrases. - Does the synodal process actually help bring souls closer to Christ and to eternal salvation? […] What has all this actually yielded? Not: how many meetings were organized? Not: how many reports were written? Not: how many people participated? But: has faith become stronger? Has Christ been proclaimed more clearly? - When one asks such questions, it is impossible to consider the Synod a success. - What once began as a 2021–2024 synod threatens to become a permanent form of governance. - The classical synod was a means. In contemporary synodal discourse, synodality threatens to become an end in itself. - The Church is not a conversation but a received reality. For the Church does not begin with our dialogue. It begins with Christ. - Christ did not set up a discussion group. He called apostles. He gave them authority. He sent them out to proclaim, baptize, and teach. - Truth is …بیہ
Bishop Olson Threatens SSPX Supporters with Excommunication: On August 14, Bishop Michael F. Olson of Fort Worth, Texas, issued a “pastoral” letter concerning the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) — using sharp and decidedly unsynodal language. He warns that knowingly providing public, organizational, material, or financial support to FSSPX communities is "objectively sinful" and "can result in excommunication." Bishop Olson even described the FSSPX as a “self-formed and schismatic sect.” He specifically mentioned two FSSPX churches within his diocese — Our Lady of Mount Carmel in North Richland Hills and Our Lady of Fatima in Sanger — as well as the former Carmelite Monastery of the Most Holy Trinity in Arlington, whose nuns have been in open conflict with Bishop Olson for years.

Bishop Gerard de Korte of’s-Hertogenbosch has responded critically to the open letter against the failed synodal project by his auxiliary bishop Rob Mutsaerts. Monsignor Mutsaerts did not consult him about this lengthy open letter, Bishop De Korte told Nd.nl on August 14. For him “a personal letter to the pope would have been the proper course of action, if Mutsaerts truly does not wish to sow division, as he writes”. Bishop de Korte added: “After all, a bishop or auxiliary bishop has his own means of communicating with the Bishop of Rome”. And: “In any case, at the request of Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV, the Dutch bishops will continue building a synodal Church. On Friday, October 16, the bishops and Dutch religious orders will organize a national day of inspiration on synodality, at the St. John’s Centre in ’s-Hertogenbosch.” In 2020, because of differences with the liberal Bishop de Korte, Monsignor Mutsaerts stepped down from virtually all of his administrative duties in the …بیہ
Bishop De Korte allowed a homo-prayer service in his cathedral at pink saturday (june 2017). That's all you need to know. He finally gave up his plan, as too much resistance raised from within his diocese. The bishop of Roermond (Van den Hout) allowed the same scandalous service in one of his churches last year, offering a platform to the Dutch building-a-bridge movement. No worries, they've nothing to fear from Rome as both bishops are VERY synodal.
In God's reality, Moses was the first Bishop, the lineage of Aaron the first priests, and the Sons of Levi the lineage of deacons. Of the true Israel, the Catholic Church. With the incarnation of God our Lord and Savior, these blood lines started pretending they were Semites, even Jews. As our Lord tells us Revelation 3:9: "I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say that they are Jews and are not, but lie—come and bow down before your feet."
Interesting video. Thank you Pierre. Check out the link I posted below. Well they can try all they want. They have tried for decades to take out Putin. Either by many assassination attempts or replacing him. They (US and NATO AND EU) are planning a huge coup in Russia soon. "IF" it's GOD Will, it might be time for him to be replaced. But I don't think GOD is done with Putin from preventing WWlll. Just yet! But I see it coming very quickly now. I can only hope that GOD will prevent the coup from happening. Even if it happens, they usually grow closer to Putin and love and protect him even more. We will protect him. The people of Russia! "Putin! Nobody will arrest him" Russians react to Putin's arrest warrant
Col. Douglas Macgregor, who has been consistently pro-Russia and anti-Ukraine in that war has been consistently wrong in his claims of Ukraine’s early demise, yet he has now created a series of scripted videos where he makes dramatic and suspicious claims. It appears to be a new tactic to gain some credibility on the internet which has become tired of his failed pro-Russian message. My main problem with his claims is the telltale issue that I always ask when a person is claiming super secret insider information, “How could he know what he is claiming?” and, it was real, why would his insider sources let him broadcast it to the world?
Restore the respect due to God first in the liturgy, we will naturally respect the liturgy. Roman rite give such example, the sheep are flocking to it.

Poland Unveils Europe’s Tallest Statue of Our Lady: On today’s feast of the Assumption, Bishop Krzysztof Wętkowski of Włocławek consecrated Europe’s tallest statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the small Polish village of Konotopie. Standing 55.6 metres high, the monument was blessed during a solemn Mass attended by hundreds, with former Polish president Lech Wałęsa among the guests. Bishop Emeritus Wiesław Mering, who attended the ceremony, told AP: “The history of Christianity has ups and downs but this place is a reminder that Mary won’t give up on Poland.”
Cardinal Raymond Burke delivered a short video message to “those who are "discouraged by the persecution of the traditional Latin mass that is presently going on" (Wdtprs.com, August 13). The cardinal described the Mass in the Roman rite as "a tremendous good in the Church" that will "never be lost". "It is for us now even at the cost of suffering to fight for it that it be as available as possible to all the faithful who desire it." #newsItmmgdutxf
